Born from a Love for Japanese Cuisine

TOHOKU was founded with a desire to offer guests a high-quality Japanese dining experience, combining traditional cooking techniques, carefully selected ingredients, and a space that reflects the refined spirit of contemporary Japan.

The name “TOHOKU” is inspired by Japan’s Tohoku region, renowned for its beautiful natural landscapes, long-standing cultural heritage, and diverse culinary traditions. These qualities have remained a constant source of inspiration throughout the development of the TOHOKU brand. 

Over the past four years, TOHOKU has steadily refined its restaurant system with a diverse menu, experienced chefs, and a professional, attentive service team. From its beginnings in Nghe An, TOHOKU has gradually expanded its presence to Hai Phong and Hanoi. The trust of our guests is the foundation that inspires us to continually improve the quality of our cuisine, service, and overall dining experience at every restaurant, while continuing to grow and expand in the years ahead.

Our Journey of Expansion 

Starting with our first restaurant in Nghe An, TOHOKU has gradually expanded to Hai Phong and Hanoi, bringing the experience of Japanese cuisine closer to guests in more cities across Vietnam.

TOHOKU Nghe An – 57 Le Nin, Vinh Phu Ward, Nghe An Province 

TOHOKU Nghe An: Established in 2022, TOHOKU Nghe An was the brand’s first restaurant, located at 57 Le Nin, Vinh Phu Ward, Nghe An Province. This location marked the beginning of TOHOKU’s journey as a Japanese restaurant brand.

TOHOKU Hai Phong – No. 4, Lot 28A, New Urban Area, Gia Vien Ward, Hai Phong City 

TOHOKU Hai Phong: Following continuous efforts and steady growth, TOHOKU officially opened its second restaurant in Hai Phong in June 2025. This milestone marked an important stage in the brand’s development and brought the spirit of Japanese cuisine closer to even more guests across Vietnam.

TOHOKU Hanoi: The opening of TOHOKU’s flagship restaurant in Hanoi marked a new step forward in the brand’s journey to establish itself as a Japanese restaurant chain.

TOHOKU’s presence in three major cities and provinces represents an important milestone in the brand’s development. It also provides a strong foundation for further expansion and for strengthening TOHOKU’s presence in Vietnam’s Japanese dining scene.
